Freezing Friday

Figured this was an appropriate title for my post today. It’s -2 here this morning, brrr.

I finished up the last of the 88 blocks yesterday!

Today my goal is to get the quilt top put together.

Next project is going to be a 110 x 110 quilt top for our bed. Finally one I’m going to keep! It’s a pattern by Primitive Gathering. I’ve got the fabrics all cut so can just start sewing away!

I’ve been getting much more comfortable with my new Janome 7700. I’ve got my scant 1/4 inch seam figured out. I’m really loving this machine! It’s got a huge space between the needle and right side. It’s nice to have so much room.

I’ve been sewing so much that my middle back is hurting by noon. I take a break, an Aleve and I’m good to go! I’ve been trying to sew from about 9 am until 5 pm everyday.

It’s been an awesome feeling to be so into sewing!!!

I’m loving my Laura Star ironing system! I turn it on first thing in the morning and I’m good to go for the day! It’s been super reliable!

And I’m off! I’ll post a pic of my completed quilt top at the end of the day today!
